North Korea's agricultural sector faces significant challenges due to mountainous terrain and a cold temperate climate, creating a high demand for specialized pesticides for plants that can withstand temperature fluctuations while maintaining efficacy.
The industrial sector is currently transitioning from basic chemical manufacturing to more complex synthesis. There is a critical need for stable industrial raw materials to support the local production of pharmaceuticals and high-tech materials like liquid crystals.
Given the strict land-use policies and the drive for food security, the integration of agro raw materials has become central to increasing the calorie output per hectare in the provinces.
