Vietnam's chemical sector is currently undergoing a massive shift toward high-value specialty chemicals. With the rise of export-oriented agriculture, there is an unprecedented demand for pesticides for plants that meet strict EU and US import residue standards, forcing local manufacturers to upgrade their synthesis processes.
The market for industrial raw materials has expanded rapidly due to the influx of FDI in the electronics and pharmaceutical sectors. This has created a critical need for high-purity liquid crystals and pharmaceutical intermediates that can support the domestic supply chain without relying solely on imports.
Environmentally, the Vietnamese government is tightening regulations on runoff in the Mekong Delta. This has triggered a surge in the adoption of organic pesticides for vegetables, as farmers transition from broad-spectrum toxins to targeted, biodegradable biological agents to protect their soil health.
