The Democratic Republic of the Congo possesses immense natural resources, yet the local production of chemical industry raw materials remains heavily reliant on imports. The industry is currently characterized by a divide between large-scale mining chemical usage and fragmented artisanal agricultural needs.
Due to the humid tropical climate of the Congo Basin, there is an urgent demand for high-stability pesticides for plants that can withstand extreme rainfall and high humidity without degrading rapidly, ensuring crop security for the growing population.
Economically, the shift toward diversifying the GDP away from cobalt and copper has sparked an emerging interest in local pharmaceutical intermediate synthesis, creating a strategic opening for specialized agro raw materials that support both health and nutrition.
